Talen Horton-Tucker Has Potential Through The Roof

Unlike Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker is a player on the Lakers I feel like isn’t talked about enough for his potential. Only playing 7 games in 2019-2020 NBA season, we saw very little of the Lakers rookie last year. The kid can play though. He’s already doubled the number of games played from last year. The 20-year-old already has better stats than the overrated white, balding guy on the Lakers, in less minutes. He actually beats Caruso in almost every stat in fewer minutes.

Unlike most biased fans, I won’t overrated THT too much. He still has a problem shooting from 3, averaging less than 30% right now. YIKES. Despite that, his 2P% is 51%. So, obviously, he needs to stop shooting 3s or start making them. I say he has potential because of his preseason stats, where he was close to 20 PPG and had plenty of rebounds and assists in the preseason. He was the leader in the preseason Of course, that’s preseason and won’t always tell the full story.

Talen-Horton Tucker is a young player that still has a lot to learn. But at only 20 years old, there is still time. Especially since the guy is playing with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Two of the best players in the league teaching you at 20? How do you not have potential and a chance to succeed? Who knows what Talen Horton-Tucker’s actual ceiling is? He’s the youngest player on the Lakers by far. THT may not be relevant right now, but in a couple of years, he should be a household name for the Lakers and for the NBA.
