Syracuse CB Jayden Bellamy Transfers To UCF

Scott Frost is back at UCF and he’s already making moves on his roster. Frost is an offensive guy at heart but he landed a hell of a defensive back in the portal. Former Syracuse DB Jayden Bellamy has transferred to the Knights.

Matt Zenitz over at 247 Sports was the first to report the news:

Bellamy, who played at Bergen Catholic in New Jersey during his high school years, posted two interceptions this year and is a really talented player. Former three-star guy who signed with Notre Dame but never saw real playing time there before moving on to the Orange.

I briefly mentioned Bellamy in the stock report notes this year. He’s listed at 5-foot-11 but it sure looks like he has some crazy arm length on him. Seems to play the ball well in the air. He was Syracuse’s best corner last year when healthy and has a shot to play at the next level.
