Stephen A. Smith and NFL Hall-of-Famer Terrell Owens did not share any lost love over X this past weekend.
The center of their feud originated from a tweet about the since-released Max Kellerman. Headlines and quotes from the post on what used to be Twitter were pretty heavy in nature. The tone was blatantly disrespectful to those who didn’t catch Joe Budden’s podcast. Check out the tweet below:
Stephen A. Smith stated he didn’t like working with Max Kellerman. He also believes the audience might not have been as receptive to Max because he wasn't an athlete or journalist.

Smith played it off as wanting a change, but Owens was not as ambiguous. He threw it back to his infamous clip of calling Max whiter than Stephen A. during a live episode of “First Take.”
The subject of that debate revolved around Colin Kaepernick and Max’s support for the beleaguered QB. This right here is the match that struck the gasoline:

Long story short, Smith alluded to some startling information about Owens that he wants to reveal to the public in the near future. However, T.O. continually denied having any flaws or wrongdoings that hadn’t already been exposed. The former NFL receiver is welcoming any and all allegations while the ESPN veteran has some pretty interesting allegations.
The network’s main debate show looks much different than when TO last appeared before the pandemic. Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe joined from Fox Sports and now sits where Kellerman used to. It is still a revolving door of partners each week, but the way Stephen A. interacts with Sharpe is much different than Owens, who played for the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals over his 15-year career.
Stephen A. Smith has finally explained himself. Apparently, Terrell Owens tried to sue him after the episode of First Take and even went as far as hiring lawyers to look into it.
Needless to say, Smith was not happy about that and everything from that point onward has unraveled their relationship. Check out his video and Owens’ response below:

Like I said, I’m not worried about being exposed because there is nothing.
#1 I didn’t put up the post that I responded to, it was RT genius that I commented on and I stand on that. #2 I DON’T LIE.
And as far as all the players, GMs, NFLPA that you “claim”… https://t.co/UTFgoFhIWu
It sure looks like Smith and Owens will most likely not go out to dinner together anytime soon. They have spent the past few days exchanging strong jabs online.
