Steph Curry Thinks The Celtics Would Have Been Dumb To Trade For Kevin Durant

How do you not love Steph Curry? All this guy does is drop truth bombs while hitting 40-foot threes in your face while you die. That’s a hero if I’ve ever seen one.

Recently it came out that Curry would have been thrilled if the Warriors were able to pull of a trade to bring back Kevin Durant. This time around, he’s dropping some wisdom when talking about the Celtics.

Of course, anybody with a working brain knows that Jaylen Brown simply has more trade value than Kevin Durant. It’s simply not arguably and something I’ve tried to hammer home over and over again.

Turns out, Steph Curry agrees with me. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Curry basically says the Celtics would have been dumb to give up Jaylen Brown in a package for KD.

“They have a little bit of everything,” Curry said of the Celtics. “But they would have to deal with the organizational transition to get rid of Jaylen [Brown]. He’s such a pivotal piece.”

Curry is so spot on and he found a way to keep his answer classy too. There just isn’t another superstar like him. You can never replace that guy. Curry basically said the same would have held true for a team like the Suns if they had traded for Durant instead.

The Durant trade package stuff just never made a lick of sense. You can’t just tear the entire team down to bring in age 34 of Durant. Can’t do it. If a trade would have gotten done with the Celtics, it had to consist of Al Horford and picks. Otherwise, you simply can’t do the deal if you’re Boston. Case closed.
