Steph Curry is an insane player who does crazy things day in and day out, but being on Twitter mid-game might top it all.
Maybe it has to do with being a teammate with Kevin Durant for a few years, but Curry also said he is always on social media and seeing what people have to say. He went on Dubs Talk, a Warriors podcast, and shared that he uses that for motivation.
“I do read a lot. Maybe I have a sick mind but it’s pure entertainment for me… It’s hilarious… It matters that people care. I hope that doesn’t fade away.”
Curry on Dubs Talk
Curry is not only scrolling Twitter during halftime, he is interacting with accounts and liking tweets.
The following day a reporter for NBC Sports, Kerith Burke, mentioned Curry in a tweet asking for an airplane celebration. BOOM, Curry hits her with the airplane celebration and social media loves it.
I mean if you don’t think this is awesome you have a big-ole-dump in your pants. I know the Warriors are not the same team that was breaking records every night, but Curry is still an elite player. This season is not what they wanted but their dynasty is far from over.
The only time I think this can become an issue is during the postseason. If this man is coming into the locker room after a tough first-half battle and they need to make adjustments, it wouldn’t be a good look for the star player to open up his phone.
I am not the biggest NBA fan, but I do know they have one of the craziest communities on social media, so I can only imagine what he gets in his mentions day in and day out.
