Sports Media
I’ve been trying to tell you this day has been coming. Riddle me this. Have any new hot-take artists scaled over the last five-ten years? The answer is no and the day I hijack this industry is coming dangerously close. It’s starting to look like the end of the road for the ultimate fraud, Skip Bayless.
Two big nuggets came from the NY Post this week:
They have reported that Skip is out at Fox Sports.
Oh…
and ESPN doesn’t want him back.
“We are set with the current ‘First Take’ rotation, and wish Skip the best on his future endeavors,” an ESPN spokesperson told Front Office Sports.
Let’s be honest; the man should have been fired immediately after the Damar Hamlin thing. Who knows why FS1 is moving on but that had to be the last straw. His viewership has been tanking since and losing Shannon Sharpe didn’t help.
Who knows what this means for Skip but it could be it in terms of mainstream media. Maybe he goes out on his own or maybe he finally retires. At this point, those two options appear the most likely. Either way, good riddance. The guy brought absolutely nothing to the table and is on record for refusing to debate anyone he didn’t think he could beat. Soft, ignorant, and uneducated. That’s the only way to describe that loser.
The black stain on the sports media industry is on the way out. The fact that any network gave that idiot millions to act like a clown is something that will never make sense.
