Skip Bayless Blasts Luka Doncic, Supports Devin Booker

Skip Bayless roasted Luka Doncic on Undisputed Monday morning. He firmly took the side of Devin Booker, after the two western conference superstars got into a quarrel on Sunday.

The two met face to face with smiles, not necessarily in a happy way, after Doncic missed a potential game-tying layup to send the game to overtime.

Of course, when a “fight” (this can hardly be considered a fight) boils over between two superstars, Skip Bayless, and the other talking heads are going to be quick to take sides.

“I am on Devin Booker’s side here,” Bayless said to his co-host counterpart Shannon Sharpe. “I’m getting to the point where I can barely watch him play basketball because he argues, he pouts, he whines, he bitches, he moans, every single call. It doesn’t matter if he makes the shot or doesn’t make the shot,”

I mean, Skip sorta has a point. Luka can tend to be dramatic, but who isn’t in today’s NBA? I challenge Bayless to find me one current NBA player that doesn’t complain about calls.

I get it’s Skip’s job to be dramatic and outlandish on his TV show. That’s how you get views. But this is so overly dramatic it sounds like a 16-year-old girl said it.

You can barely watch him play basketball, Skip? Regardless of how he acts, Luka Doncic has to be one of the most fun players to watch in the entire league. You’re trying to convince us that you can barely watch him play basketball? I’m not buying it.

This is the first occasion where Bayless has taken a shot at the 24-year-old Doncic. Skip is well known for digging on players like Lebron James and Russell Westbrook for the same reason, complaining about calls. At least he’s being somewhat consistent.

Skip’s antics aside, I was disappointed to learn that this Suns vs. Mavericks game was the last matchup between the two squads in the regular season. Maybe we’ll get treated to another playoff series between the two teams, like last season.

I’m really digging this rivalry. It seems like whatever the Suns do, the Mavericks are right there, and vice versa.
