On The Field

The 2020 college football season was delayed to start, but the Virginia Cavaliers didn’t play their first game until the last week of September. They came out ready for Duke and beat the Blue Devils at home, but they were never able to keep that momentum rolling and they lost their next four games in a row. They beat UNC at home to end their losing streak and railed off three more wins before dropping the last game of the season to their in-state rival, Virginia Tech.

The Cavaliers won their first game of the 2021 season against an FCS school, but this season they won their week 2 game beating a horrible Illinois team. UNC got their revenge for the 2020 loss in week 3 and Virginia followed that up with another loss to make them 2-2 after the first month of the season.

In The Market

The SimVirginia Cavaliers are right in the middle of the SimBull CFB market with the 34th highest share price in the market. Their current price is $39.27, but that is only the 6th highest price in the ACC. I would expect their price to drop in the next few days after their loss to Wake Forest.

They are going to need to pull off an upset or two if they are going to hit their projected win total as they start their confidence schedule against other ACC opponents. I think they are overpriced at the moment and the market will correct itself in the next few weeks.
