On The Field

West Virginia has gotten off to a slow start going 2-2. After a narrow loss to Oklahoma this past weekend, West Virginia has proven they play tough no matter the QB who is under center. QB Jarrett Doege is a cagey veteran, pocket passer, and leader in this locker room. Garret Greene is a speedy freshman who provides a lightning strike every time he touches the ball. Greene got the victory against Virginia Tech while Deoge came up just short against the Sooners. Greene is the second leading rusher on the team only behind featured back, Leddie Brown. While Doege is the starter, I like the potential of Greene.

In The Market

WVU’s share price is pretty expensive relative to the other BIG 12 teams, their price sits at $40.29 making them the fifth most expensive team in their conference. The price tag is a little high for a team that is 0-1 in the conference and has a .500 record. WVU is currently second to last in the BIG 12 standings, as they enter their heavy conference schedule a number of in division losses will only hurt their stock. With teams like Texas, Iowa State, and even Oklahoma State on their upcoming schedule, WVU is at a severe talent disadvantage with almost every team in the BIG 12.

I would stay away from SimWVU as the share price is too high for a team that does not have a ton of potential. I’d rather take a flyer on another BIG 12 team like Baylor who is 4-0 and sitting on top of the conference for a cheaper price of $33.29.
