SimBull 2021 CFB Full Team Breakdown: California Golden Bears

Welcome to the next SimBull CFB full team breakdown, the writers from Vendetta Sports Media will be breaking down and analyzing all the Power 5 college football programs, and next up are the California Golden Bears. Check out the last breakdown here.

2020 Record: 1-3 (1-3)

2021 Projected Win Total (via William Hill): 6

On The Field

The Pac-12 suffered the most for the pandemic shortened 2020 season, but at least Cal was able to get one win out of the four games they played. That win just happened to be their biggest game of the season, defeating the Pac 12 champion Oregon Ducks.

They started off the 2021 season with two one-score losses against Nevada and TCU but will look to rebound in week 3 against Sacramento State before heading into their conference season. They have a very top-heavy conference this year, so the Golden Bears will get a chance to play the weaker tames in late October and into early November.

In The Market

The SimCal-FB shares are currently just over thirty dollars at $30.03, but they are not even in the bottom three of their conference in terms of share prices. I am sure investors would have loved for them to pull out at least one of their first two games, but there are chances to earn dividends as the season progresses.

Of course, if they win games and you own shares, you will be getting double returns as you earn win payouts and their price should go up. As one of the cheaper teams in the entire college football market, they have some potential. However, if they lose some of these Pac-12 games that they will be favored in, that is going to be an issue.
