Signing Russell Wilson Shows The Steelers Are Committed To Mediocrity

The Steelers signed Russell Wilson and it only sends one message to people who are paying attention. The old Steelers are dead. Welcome to the new era of the Steelers. Pittsburgh now strives to replicate the likes of the Marvin Lewis Cincinnati Bengals and or the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA.

C’mon. We know this isn’t going to work. Pittsburgh has done nothing other than set themselves up for being the most boring team in the NFL. They won’t be good. They won’t be bad. They will be painfully average. Maybe even good enough to sneak in as the last Wild Card. At the end of the day, they’re doing nothing but wasting time.

What’s the point in showing up to the stadium or even watching the games? Congratulations on being the Cowboy Cerrone of the NFL. You’re nothing but a stepping stone. If a team can’t beat you, they’re not a real contender.

Stepping stone? Hmm…

Should that be the Steelers new logo?

We’re all super excited to watch a washed up quarterback who is afraid to get hit and posted a career low in yards per attempt after Sean Payton did everything in his power to hide him. Except this time we get to watch him suck in the Fed Ex nepotism offense.

Signed absolutely no one.
