Shilo Sanders Compares Himself To President Donald Trump

Deion Sanders, aka Coach Prime, ain’t the only one that can make headlines. Shilo Sanders said quite an…interesting statement comparing himself to President Donald Trump when talking about being criticized. During the Shrine Bowl practices, it was the consensus that Sanders just did not play well and didn’t impress much. It was understood that his stock dipped either a little or lot depending on who you are, but it went down regardless. During the actual game though, he played better. Maybe he needs 10 other guys to mask his deficiencies or thought he could get by on “talent,” I am using the term loosely here. It was evident that he heard the noise around his draft stock falling because he addressed his haters and critics after the game. Full quote provided by Awful Announcing:

“If you just hate me or want to hate me,” Sanders said before the clip inexplicably jumps. “…Paint me in a bad picture; they do that to our President. They do that to everybody, you know? So I’m not going to be safe from it. But it does get aggravating whenever you put in that work, and you’re working on your craft, and [there’s] people just steadily destroying you.

“I just care about what the scouts think. I care about what Coach Prime thinks, what my family thinks, and I got a good circle around me, so I really don’t let that stuff affect me. It’s just really stupid how people always try to destroy you, and I don’t do nothing bad to nobody.”

He does claim that the clips were cherry-picked and that the game film from the Shrine Bowl and his season at Colorado will hold more weight than the practices. I think he needs to realize that the scouts themselves were among the ones criticizing him during the practices. I’m not sure if Sanders is a President Donald Trump apologist but this sure does come off that way.

For what it’s worth and if you care to know. Wait, I don’t care if you want to know, I am going to say it anyway, I wouldn’t draft Shilo Sanders at all. Someone will take a flyer on him and waste their time. There’s better talent out there and if someone picks him higher than the 6th round, they wasted their pick. We’ll see if the “everyone is cherry-picking clips that look like I am not good” schtick sticks, but the truth will always reveal itself.
