Shedeur Sanders Releases His First Ever Rap Song
Colorado quarterback and potential 2025 No. 1 pick Shedeur Sanders dropped his first rap single, “Perfect Timing” this week. Here’s the audio to it:
Sanders first ventures into something that isn’t collegiate football, a two-minute song about him “grindin’,” and the lavish lifestyle he is living.
“They told me bust out my AP, perfect timing,” Shedeur says in the first verse of the song.
“It’s never hot around my jewelry, chains are climbing,” he raps later on in the verse. “I went and got that new Maybach I stay grindin’.”
During his first year at Colorado, Sanders threw for 3230 yards with 27 passing touchdowns and three interceptions. While having impressive numbers in the Pac-12, Sanders and Colorado ended the season as the worst team in the conference with a 4-8 record.
Sanders and Colorado will no longer play in the Pac-12 and are now a part of the Big 12 conference, expecting to face stiffer competition. If Sanders says that he hasn’t reached his peak, he should be able to show it against these Big 12 schools.
If Sanders makes any more music, he better drop it now and not after a game. One commenter on social media wrote about opposing teams using his song in their highlight reels. With Shedeur and Colorado facing Texas and Oklahoma, there’s a good shot they will be used.
While he has claimed not to hit his peak yet, Shedeur has to prove to everyone else that he isn’t just all bark. Sanders mentioned that he was better than every quarterback in this year’s draft class, but he has to show that he can be the first overall pick like Caleb Williams.
