Seth Henigan 2025 NFL Draft Stock Report

Is anybody excited about Seth Henigan? I’m more so just curious, feel free to respond, because I can’t imagine we’re going to talk all day here on this 2025 Draft Profile. Let’s get into everything you need to know about the Memphis signal caller.

NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (2), (3), Game

I’ll be perfectly honest with you; Memphis wasn’t really a priority during the stock notes this year. I did catch bits and pieces of them beating Florida State earlier in the year. If you want to say Henigan is better than DJ Uiagalelei, I’m not going to argue with you. I think we saw that play out pretty clearly. I’m just not sure how much of a compliment that is (based on the profile I did on DJ U) and I still have a hard time saying this is a bonafide NFL quarterback.

Have you ever heard the term – JAG? As in “Just a guy”. If they had a picture in the dictionary for that term, it would be the face of Seth Henigan. He’s just there. Wouldn’t say he’s vomit worthy of sucking but if he totally disappeared from the Combine or any other setting nobody would notice. That may sound harsh to you but is it false? There wasn’t anything to write home about at the Combine. Ditto for the Senior Bowl. Can’t recall a single time watching and saying “WOW, look at that great trait”.

Henigan checks in at 6-foot-3, 215, and is a former three star guy from the state of Texas. A lot of these weird quarterbacks seem to come from Texas. Very much a pocket quarterback but he’s not a zero in the rushing department. For some reason, this has been a trend with this quarterback class but it’s like their rushing regresses the older they get. 2022 and 2023, Henigan had nine rushing scores for 563 total yards. This past year, it was one rushing score and a total of 190 yards.

We can dig into these throwing numbers if you want to but I’m not sure how much it changes. Started for Memphis four years in a row, which is a good sign. He just never got any better or took real strides forward. His stats are basically identical from his freshman year to his senior year. Best year coming as a junior. The accuracy completion percentage stuff got a bit of a tick up but that’s about it. 25 touchdowns as a freshman, followed by 22 the next year, 32 after that, and closed with 25. Not sure what to add beyond that. He was there and a capable smaller school QB. Not sure how much it translates.

I promise we’ll start getting more positive once I get into the write-ups for the better quarterbacks in the class. This just isn’t one of them. I have an undrafted grade on Seth Henigan and he would not be a priority add during the undrafted free agency period either.
