Serious Wander Franco Allegations Set Twitter Ablaze
Some very serious allegations regarding Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco hit Twitter (we’re still not calling it X, Elon) today. On a day in which the 22-year-old rising star was out of Tampa Bay’s lineup, rumors began circulating that he was caught in a relationship with a minor.
To be clear, these alarming allegations remain unsubstantiated. One claim went around that the girl in question lied about her age and said she was 18 in an effort to extort Franco.
However, some have observed that the alleged victim’s Instagram features an image of her with a young child and another picture behind the wheel of a vehicle holding a bottle of alcohol. This has led some to theorize that the girl is not a minor, and she is lying about her age in the opposite direction to defame Franco following the end of their relationship.
These claims are serious and still need to be fully investigated. If the rumors are proven true, Wander Franco should be unceremoniously dismissed from MLB and face severe legal consequences. He has already been slammed in the court of public opinion.
Kevin Cash Declines to Comment on Rumors
When asked about his star shortstop’s absence from the lineup following a 9-2 defeat, Rays manager Kevin Cash said it was a scheduled rest day. He also mentioned that he was aware of the speculation and did not offer further comment. It seems the Rays are investigating this internally.
Considering Franco’s stellar performance over the last couple weeks, it’s a strange time to hold him out of the lineup, even for scheduled rest. Over Tampa Bay’s last 14 games, Franco batted .411 with six home runs and 11 RBI. Furthermore, the Rays were giving away Kids Wander Franco Snapback Hats at Tropicana Field today.
Hopefully the truth comes to light quickly and puts an end to the speculation.
