If you haven’t watched the Sean Payton movie Home Team yet, I’m not sure what you’re doing? This movie rocks. I will attempt to limit the spoilers but some of the information people already know.
This movie has a lot of just basic things going for it. The humor is there. Kevin James is actually an underrated actor. Sean Payton is actually in the movie and delivers a funny line. Most important – There are too many crazy things that happen in the movie that can’t be made up.
The interactions Payton has with the hotel worker are hilarious. You just know he totally met a guy like that assistant coach. You know exactly who that guy is in your hometown. You just know he made his ex-wife’s new guy friend look way worse in the movie than he is in real life too. So funny.
It also has a life element to it. You can just see the way the movie is portrayed. Payton was absolutely miserable and that suspension is the best thing that probably ever happened to him. Just like it was when the NFL suspended Tom Brady. Really inspiring and heart warming too. It’s even got a love story mixed in somehow.
I guess we won’t know which parts of the movie are true or false. I just think some of it is too good to possibly be made up. With Payton stepping away from coaching, it’s a great way to celebrate his career. Don’t worry, he will be the Cowboys coach next year and there will be a sequel down the road. It’s going to be great.
