The San Francisco 49ers are poised for big things to come. Just get Jimmy Garoppolo healthy and this team should double their win total. Of course, having the second pick in the draft makes that a pretty easy feat to accomplish. San Fran’s roster is slowly coming together but it still isn’t considered a strong roster by any means. The 2019 NFL Draft is a very important one when you’re picking this high. Let’s head inside the war room for the 49ers.

First Round (Pick 2) – This one is easy if the Cardinals take Kyler Murray. They can’t run to the podium fast enough to take Nick Bosa. He’s one of the few can’t miss guys in the draft. Pair Bosa with Dee Ford and all of the sudden the 49ers can really attack the quarterback. Just makes too much sense not to happen.

Second Round (Pick 36) – I like a safety here maybe. Jaquiski Tartt is good but there’s a hole at the other. Taylor Rapp could be an option. I didn’t see much of Rapp in college but Washington seems to always carve out productive defensive backs. Just has been the trend. Johnathan Abram could be another option if the 49ers want a box safety instead. Rapp feels like the better fit next to Tartt, however. Nassir Adderly of Deleware fits that Free Safety mold if he is still on the board.

Third Round (Pick 67) – This secondary really stinks. Richard Sherman hasn’t solved any of their problems. Maybe adding a slot corner like David Long goes a long way to fixing those issues. Long had an awesome combine and was super productive in college. The 49ers roster right now just has those long outside corners so the slot should be on the to-do list.

The 49ers could use another wide out to go with Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis. They also need another linebacker to replace Fred Warner. He was one of the worst starters in the league last year. Then again, I don’t know how the 49ers saw anything from Warner at the Senior Bowl last year that warranted a first round pick.
