Ryan Poles Is Willing To Go Down With The Matt Eberflus Ship

The karma gods are watching and things are bad in Chicago. Has anyone else noticed something weird going on? Since I challenged the Bears fan base to a debate, the team has stunk ever since. The Bears fans have went into hibernation since this. Ryan Poles sucks, Matt Eberflus also sucks, and Chicago is stuck with both until further notice.

The Eberflus/Poles regime is 14-28 with a 33% win percentage since being hired in 2022. With that in mind, it’s been reported that Poles has no interest in firing Eberflus. That as long as he’s the general manager, Eberflus will be the coach.

You heard it here. Poles will not fire Eberflus. Which on the surface isn’t surprising considering that those two have always been a package deal. Poles hired Eberflus and the two have the same agent. I get that Poles wants to be loyal to his guy but he has to know he’s going down with this ship if he doesn’t reverse course, right? Let’s also stop pretending this Poles guy is smart too because we all know he hitched his wagon to a loser coach.

Oh, and DJ Moore has already indicated the team has quit on Eberflus so there’s that too. This literally is a sinking ship ready to tank. This team is poorly coached and there is no way to hide it. Feel free to Google any of these. The knucklehead play by Tyrique Stevenson, the play before where they gave the Commanders free yards to set up the hail marry, DJ Moore walking off the field, etc.

It’s not like this is overly surprising. We knew Eberflus’ chances of succeeding were low or at least the smart people did. All of the people who have been hired from the Pete Carroll tree run the same cover 3 bs where they need the front to win to create turnovers with the death by a thousand cuts to beat us scheme. Gus Bradley, Robert Saleh, Eberflus, name whoever you want. None of these guys are winning games as a head coach.
