Russell Westbrook is set to play for his 6th team in seven seasons. Westbrick is the biggest cancer in NBA history and every team that employs him can’t wait to get rid of him. When you play for that many teams in that short a period of time, it says everything you need to know about that selfish price.
It seems that Westbrick hasn’t matured with age. The man with the least amount of self-awareness in the league continues go down the land of Looney Tunes. The new Nuggets guard claims every team he played for in the past used him wrong and that Michael Malone understands him.
“To be honest, (my skill set) was unique, they just didn’t put me in position to make it unique,” Westbrook said. “I was in a position where I was playing not my position.”
“Coach Malone allowing me to use my speed, use my transition skill to be able to make other guys better, makes the game easier for everyone around me, and that’s what I love to do best.”
I guess Malone is on Westbrick’s good side for now. The Nuggets head coach did go out of his way to compliment his defense of all things. If there is one ray of hope for Nuggets fans, it’s that Reggie Jackson also sucked so maybe Westbrick will be able to handle that void just fine!
Westbrook, 35, averaged 11.1 points, five rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals with the Clippers last season
