Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes shooting for 2K23 in Los Angeles

Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are reportedly among the list of WWE stars who have been in Los Angeles this week filming a commercial for 2K23.

WWE 2K22 was the last installment in the WWE 2K video game series releasing in March 2022. It was met with universal and critical acclaim, with much praise directed to its improved graphics and smooth engine over 2K20 and the return of the highly anticipated MyGM Mode. 2K23 is expected to come out on the shelves in the first half of 2023, although not much detail about the upcoming game has been disclosed.

Per a recent report by PWInsider, multiple superstars, including Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Johnny Gargano, Rey Mysterio and presumably several others, have been in and out of Los Angeles over the last few weeks. The report mentions that they are participating in film shoots for 2K23.

What can fans expect from 2K23?

According to reports, multiple significant changes are rumored to be made for WWE 2K23.

• Controls will largely remain unchanged. However, a new pinning system might be on its way.
• MyGM could feature mid-card singles titles and more customization for players.
• MyFaction will also see multiple improvements/additions.
• Gameplay has received a number of improvements to collision and overall flow.
• New legends are rumored to be added to the game roster

Fans are keenly awaiting the next installment in the WWE 2K series. Over the past few months, WWE has been firing on all cylinders. The company would hope to further cement their goodwill with the WWE Universe. With AEW: Fight Forever also scheduled to release soon, it is certainly an exciting time to be wrestling fan and a gaming enthusiast.
