The Rockets Are Holding Eric Gordon Hostage
Can we please get Eric Gordon traded out of Houston? I’m starting to become worried for his sanity. Gordon would be a perfect off the bench shooter many several contenders. The only problem is Houston isn’t even trying to move him. It almost feels like we have a hostage situation on our hands that nobody is talking about.
It feels like we have had Gordon listed as a buyout candidate forever. Nothing ever changes. This Rockets team makes me vomit inside just watching them and Gordon continues to have to put up with it. Houston is a young team full of guys who have no interest in sharing the basketball. It’s five guys trying to go alpha mode all at the same time while putting up meaningless stats hoping that it gets them paid. It’s a selfish 13-40 team that has no interest in winning. Gordon has to suit up for this clown show team every night.
Gordon, 34, only has so many years left. He’s a valuable piece any team could use off the bench. The former Indiana product is having a down shooting year but can you really blame him dealing with this nonsense every night? The year prior, Gordon was over 41% from 3-point range.
What is Rafael Stone doing? That’s what I want to know. Is he even trying to move Gordon? It’s the one true veteran he has on the roster and probably does hold some value. Why not try to attract an asset in return even if it’s a couple of second round picks? Are you telling me Rockets lover Daryl Morey would have no interest?
I just want Eric Gordon to know that I see him and I feel his pain. The guy is a pro’s pro and hasn’t said a bad word about this entire team. Takes courage to stay quiet. Can the Rockets just do the right thing and get him to a contender? I worry about his mental health. Do you see his face on the cover image? That’s Gordon on a nightly basis. Please do the right thing, Stone. This is a hostage situation and somebody needs to say something.
