POLO G HALL OF FAME COMING JUNE 11TH: WHAT TO EXPECT

Polo G’s 3rd album, “Hall of Fame,” was announced to be released on June 11th. His music has been in an upward direction, with his latest single, “Rapstar.” Using the momentum from Tik Tok, Polo G was able to obtain an accolade for being the 22nd title to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. With this in mind, there is no doubt that Hall of Fame won’t flop, but what should new listeners expect from this project?

POLO G HALL OF FAME: WHAT FEATURES TO BE EXPECTED?

Recently, Polo G has been more lowkey and out of the way in terms of rap politics. The last time he had an issue with anyone was with the song credits on “Rapstar.” Because of that, we could expect anything on his album. If Polo G plans on going in the same direction as his last album “The Goat” (which I previously reviewed), we could see many artists that are mainly of the street culture in rap. On the other hand, I can predict what would make good collaborations for the album.

MULATTO

Mulatto and Polo G were both previous freshmen on the XXL list for 2020. This would not surprise me. I think this would be perfect because Mulatto topics are similar to that of Megan Thee Stallion and City Girls. Many of her topics surround herself in an explicit and sexual way. Regardless of topics, I think both of them could easily create something. I think this collaboration would be comparable to DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion with their hit “Cash Shit.”

LIL TJAY

Another XXL Freshman alongside Polo G in 2020. Lil Tjay has been a frequent collaborator with Polo G. With songs like “Pop Out” and “First Place,” Polo G and Lil Tjay know how to create music. With catchy, harmonious sounds, along with deadly lyrics, the duo has proven time and time again that they know the fundamentals of good music. If anything, I think they should work on a collaboration project altogether.

POOH SHIESTY

Known for his collaboration with another Chicago rapper Lil Durk, Pooh Shiesty has been consistently doing well in the music industry. With collaborations with the likes of Coi Leray, G Herbo, and Gucci Mane, Pooh Shiesty brings many lyrics of his struggles and street life, which Polo G could easily relate to. I think this collaboration would be perfect, considering some of the collaborations Polo chose on his previous album.

21 SAVAGE

Like Shiesty, 21 Savage also knows the struggles of being from the streets. 21 Savage has collaborated with the likes of J Cole, so he would be a good collaborator with Polo G. I think he could also connect Polo G with producer Metro Boomin’, who also worked with bigger artist like Drake and Future on their mixtape “What a Time to Be Alive.” In my opinion, he has some of the most superb production because it creates an experience with certain sounds. This can be seen in 21’s latest project, “Savage Mode II.”

JUICE WRLD

The late Juice Wrld collaborated with Polo G on previous works like “Flex.” I hope the two have works that were completed before his passing. Like Lil Tjay, Juice also had harmonious vocals and deadly lyrics, but Juice could also rap on trap beats and was even said to have freestyled EVERYTHING he has created. This duo is significantly talented, and neither of them is at their fullest potential yet. Unfortunately, Juice Wrld passed shortly after his 21st birthday. The rap industry was significantly devastated, raising topics about drug abuse and mental health.

POLO G: HALL OF FAME CONCLUSION

To conclude, Polo G has been lowkey, so anything is possible with the release of “Hall of Fame.” If any of these artists do not appear on the project, hopefully, we will see them on future projects. Maybe this will be a solo project. However the case may be, Polo G will continue to prosper as one of the best rap artists of this generation.
