PICK EM CHALLENGE: 2021 NFL Week Eight Empire’s Finest.

The Pick Em Challenge continues on into Week Eight. Chick is still in first place as he went 9-4 this week bringing his overall record to 67-57-1, Font is in second after a 10-3 week bringing his overall record to 60-59-1, and Krieg is in last after an 8-5 week bringing his overall record to 54-65-1. The boys all went positive this week, which is fantastic and a sign for things to come. There are some great plays on this board for us and I’m hoping it’ll be another great week.

Pick Em Challenge Thursday Night Football

Chick: Arizona -6.5

Krieger: Green Bay +6.5

Fontanello: Green Bay +6.5

Thursday night football features two of the best teams in the NFC. Now Aaron Rodgers may not have Davante Adams, even though he may still play, but this is still Rodgers being an underdog and I’ll take that any time I see it. Also, not to mention J.J. Watt is not playing in this game either.

Chick: Buffalo -13.5

Krieger: Buffalo -13.5

Fontanello: Buffalo -13.5

Nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills! The Bills are back off a BYE and man are they ready. After the late-game loss to the Titans on Monday Night Football, you know this team is out for blood. Playing the lowly Dolphins in Buffalo is just what the doctor ordered.

Chick: Atlanta -3

Krieger: Atlanta -3

Fontanello: Atlanta -3

The Falcons are playing at home against the Panthers. Oh boy, the Panthers stink I mean it’s one thing to lose to a bad team, but to get blown out by the freaking Giants. That’s beyond bad on so many levels.

Chick: Detriot +3.5

Krieger: Detriot +3.5

Fontanello: Detriot +3.5

The Lions have been playing everyone really tough this season. Still looking for their first win of the season this is where I think they get it

Chick: Tennassee +1.5

Krieger: Tennassee +1.5

Fontanello: Tennassee +1.5

The Titans are for real and they are tired of people underrating them. I for one completely agree with them. Derrick Henry can do it all and there’s no way the Colts are stopping the King.

Chick: Los Angeles Rams -14.5

Krieger: Los Angeles Rams -14.5

Fontanello: Los Angeles Rams -14.5

The Rams really got scared last week against the Lions and really found themselves in a hard-fought game. This week that will not be the case. I think the Rams do exactly what the Cards did to the Texans.

Chick: Cincinatti -10.5

Krieger: Cincinatti -10.5

Fontanello: Cincinatti -10.5

The Bengals are such a fun team to watch. They have a great defense, Joe Burrow is amazing, and Jamar Chase might be the best rookie receiver ever! Pretty much the exact opposite of what the Jets are.

Chick: Pittsburgh +3.5

Krieger: Pittsburgh +3.5

Fontanello: Cleveland -3.5

The Browns get Nick Chubb back this week which really didn’t mean much last week as they controlled that game against Denver from the jump. However, whether Baker Mayfield is back or not I just don’t trust the Steelers.

Chick: Chicago +3.5

Krieger: Chicago +3.5

Fontanello: San Francisco -3.5

The 49ers had a tough loss last week to the Colts, partly because of the crazy rain that came through San Fran. However, going on the road as favorites seems like a tall task for them. Although, it is the Bears and Justin Fields just isn’t set up for success right now.

Pick Em Challenge 4:25 PM Games

Chick: Jacksonville +3.5

Krieger: Jacksonville +3.5

Fontanello: Jacksonville +3.5

The Seahawks just have no idea what kind of a team they are and with Geno Smith under center, there is no way I can take them as a favorite. The Jags are easily going to cover here.

Chick: Los Angles Chargers +4

Krieger: Los Angles Chargers +4

Fontanello: New England +4

Honestly, I don’t know what to think of the Chargers they just are not playing great and the Patriots have been in close games all year. I’ll take the Patriots in this spot.

Chick: Washington Football Team +3

Krieger: Denver -3

Fontanello: Denver -3

The Broncos haven’t been playing well, but neither has the Football Team. I just can’t take the Washington Football Team going on the road in Denver.

Chick: Tampa Bay -5.5

Krieger: Tampa Bay -5.5

Fontanello: Tampa Bay -5.5

The Bucs are playing very very well right now. Tom Brady may damn well win MVP this year and the Saints just haven’t impressed me this year. The Bucs historically have trouble with the Saints, just not this year.

Sunday Night Football

Chick: Dallas -1.5

Krieger: Dallas -1.5

Fontanello: Dallas -1.5

How bout them, Cowboys! Ew, that felt disgusting for me to even type out. Yeah never doing that again, but the Cowboys are good this year and have covered every game. I mean you just have to take them regardless of Dak’s status for the game.

Monday Night Football

Chick: New York Giants +10

Krieger: New York Giants +10

Fontanello: New York Giants +10

Oh boy, here we go. The Giants are coming off a big win and the Chiefs honestly just suck. The Giants have me believing they are going to win this game. Which is just me setting myself up for disappointment. Nevertheless, I’m doing it. Let’s go, Giants?
