The Philadelphia Eagles lost yet another game on Monday night to the Seattle Seahawks 23-17. However, don’t let the box score fool you this game was not close at all, and Carson Wentz couldn’t do anything yet again. It’s not all his fault but he deserves some blame.
The Eagles haven’t been a good team in a while and this year they look the worst they have been in the past five years. There are a number of reasons as to why that is. Doug Pederson’s game plans are awful, Wentz hasn’t played well, and the injuries have caught up with them.
The Eagles when they won the Super Bowl had the best offensive line in the NFL. Nowadays that line has been giving up sacks left and right. Wentz hasn’t looked right at all. He’s making way too many mistakes, turning the ball over at an incredible clip. Wentz may not deserve all the blame, but he cannot be completely absolved of his mistakes.
Owner of Vendetta Sports, Trey Daubert, believes Wentz is the last person to be blamed on the Eagles. I certainly think it’s not all Wentz’s fault but there’s no way you can watch these games and say he’s not partly to blame. Wentz has an incredible skill set, that is true no doubt. However, when you lead the league in interceptions you cannot deny that a big part of the problem is on the quarterback.
Howie Roseman is mostly to blame for the roster he has constructed. Look at these draft picks I mean c’mon it’s ridiculous how bad Roseman has missed. There’s Jalen Hurts in the second round, Jalen Regor, and JJ Arcega-Whiteside. None of these guys have helped the team in any way. It’s starting to get ridiculous.
Most importantly look at what the Eagles are doing to their fans. Fellow writer and host of the Vendetta Sports Fantasy Show, Chad Bauman, has been driven into deep NFL despair.
Pederson, Roseman, and Wentz should all be arrested for what they have done to their fanbase. The NFC East has been so wide open this year mostly because the Eagles refuse to win games. It should’ve been an easy division win this year. However, it has been anything but easy.
