The Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes have restructured his contract once again, giving $210.6 million between 2023 and 2026, the most money in a four-year span in NFL history, ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter first reported Monday.
Over that four-year span, Mahomes will receive compensation in fully guaranteed money in those four years.

Rewinding the clock, Patrick Mahomes signed what was originally the biggest contract in NFL history. Now, of course, that honor belongs to Mahomes’ rival and Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow.
While Burrow may have the biggest contract in NFL history on a wider span of years, Mahomes beat everyone out in a four-year span with his $210.6 million. Safe to say, it became well worth it.
The Kansas City Chiefs began 2023 at 1-1, losing by a slim margin to the Detroit Lions in the season opener followed by beating out the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday. Mahomes has been a big part of the Chiefs’ success not only this year, but obviously every year he’s been a part of the Chiefs.
Stepping into Alex Smith‘s role as the Chiefs’ signal-caller was no easy task, especially as a raw rookie coming out of Texas Tech. Though with a sprinkle of Mahomes’ magic, the Chiefs have taken over the football world.
In his seven years in the NFL, Mahomes has already stuffed the stat sheet–winning two Super Bowls and two MVPs in just six years as a starter. Mahomes has almost eclipsed 200 passing touchdowns and 25,000 passing yards in just five full years as a starter, and on top of that, the former Texas Tech Red Raider has taken care of the ball much better than his AFC rivals (Burrow and Josh Allen), only throwing 51 interceptions.
Mahomes has proven to the entire world what magic he can produce, and has earned it in his newly structured contract.
