NFL Network and NFL Redzone will now be available on Youtube TV. The two sides reached a new carriage agreement that will bring NFL programming such as NFL RedZone to Youtube TV subscribers starting September 13, 2020, per Ian Rapoport.
With the addition of NFL programming coming to Youtube, year-round NFL coverage and content will be available for Youtube TV subscribers. Good Morning Football, NFL Gameday Morning, NFL Now, and NFL Total Access will be available for viewers.
We are excited to bring NFL Network and NFL RedZone to Youtube TV subscribers, just in time for Kickoff of the NFL’s 2020 Season. The opportunity to give NFL Network and NFL RedZone the broadcast distribution as possible to our fans remains a top priority for us, so we’re pleased to bring our lineup of exclusive live games, informative shows and award-winning content to the Youtube TV channel lineup.
Global Head of Partnerships at Youtube TV Lori Conkling had this to say on the new partnership:
Sports fans have been some of our most passionate members since we launched Youtube TV, so we’re thrilled to introduce NFL Network to our line-up of more than 85 channels, plus NFL RedZone as part of our new Sports Plus add-on package. This partnership further demonstrates our commitment to offer a premium portfolio of content to our members.
NFL games and NFL Network coming to YouTube begs the question, is this the end for the major television networks? To put it simply, no, it’s not. The major television networks are not going anywhere anytime soon.
