NEW: Madden NFL 25 Cover Athlete Revealed

Madden NFL 25 is around the corner. Now becomes the time when the famed “cover athlete curse” is revealed. Earlier today, EA announced that it was 49ers superstar Christian McCaffrey. The reigning Offensive Player of the Year will grace the latest edition of the video game’s cover:

After struggling with injuries for a couple of years, the former Panthers running back had a career year with the NFC Champions. The 27-year-old led the NFL in rushing yards with 1,459 in sixteen games. Furthermore, he added another 564 yards and sevens touchdowns as a receiver, meaning he lead the league in both touchdowns and yards from scrimmage. So far, his second stint in the Bay Area after playing for Stamford is incredibly successful. All that’s missing of course is a Super Bowl crown. They came incredibly close in 2024 but ultimately fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime. It’s safe to say that CMC and the Niners will be on a mission to climb the mountain next season.

Despite rumors of San Fran having interest in parting ways with one of their talented skill position players, nothing has come of it. McCaffrey will still have a formidable group of teammates on the offensive side of the ball with Brock Purdy under center.

Best Summer Ever?

It’s safe to say the son of Ed McCaffrey is having a lot of fun during the offseason. He agreed to a hefty extension with the Niners that will keep him in Red and Gold until 2027. Furthermore, he is set to get married to model Olivia Culpo at some point in the near future. The couple got engaged in April of last year. When you consider all of these things happening at the same time, it’s hard not to be happy for him. He went through some really tough times with injuries in past years and to see him get past those and be the best version of himself is inspiring.

Why 2024 Will Be The Kyle Pitts Breakout Season

Things are going from good to great for Christian McCaffrey. After winning Offensive Player of the Year and signing a nice extension, he will be the cover athlete for Madden NFL 25.
