Two of the most iconic brands in baseball released a collaboration today. New Balance teamed up with David Sunflower Seeds to put out a new run of shoes and apparel. And I have to say, these are CLEAN.
New Balance x David Sunflower Seeds
David Sunflower Seeds, founded in 1926, has been a staple in Major League Baseball for decades. The company is also the official sunflower seed brand of Little League Baseball.
The collaboration between David and New Balance Baseball creates three new takes on previous New Balance installments. All the new designs feature the classic red-white-blue-and-yellow colorway found on David Sunflower Seeds packaging.
First, the David-themed baseball cleats employ a sunflower seed graphic on the inner lining as well as sunflower design accents on the toe and heel. The David logo features on the tongue and David’s signature is prominently displayed in white on the outer part of the cleat.
Second, the new take on the Fresh Foam 3000v5 is essentially the same as the cleats, just built for turf or indoor training.
Third, the classic NB 574s get an all-new look with the David colors. This shoe is the lifestyle rendition of the new rollout. There is no David logo on the tongue, but there is still a sunflower seed graphic print on the inserts as well as sunflower design elements on the heel of the shoe. David’s signature is displayed in red ink on the heel.
Every pair of shoes from the collaboration comes in a special-edition David Sunflower Seeds box and pouch, which can be found in the image above. New Balance also rolled out David-themed slides and t-shirts alongside the new footwear.
The storefront boasts, “America’s favorite seed brand meets the realest cleats in the game.”
