Netflix reportedly trying to release a Grand Theft Auto game

One of the biggest streaming platforms, Netflix, has some of the most popular original shows. They have a huge catalogue of shows and they seem to be keen on pushing out more Netflix original content, and now it appears the company wants to fully break into the gaming space.

Netflix has had some choose-your-own adventure-type shows and even a functional trivia crack game on its platform. These shows have given users a different type of control and interaction level than the normal series. Now, Netflix is trying to take it to the next level and release a Grand Theft Auto game.

The streaming giant is discussing plans to release a 'Grand Theft Auto' game on its platform through a licensing deal with publisher Take-Two Interactive.

Grand Theft Auto is one of the biggest video game franchises of all time. The Rockstar Games title has had multiple entries spanning decades including the most recent release GTA V. This game set records with its release so it would make sense for Netflix to try and cash in on the historic franchise.

A possible Netflix GTA game would be a very unique experience. It should be noted that this can happen if Netflix can get a licensing deal with Take-Two Interactive. 

Ultimately, there is not much information on what the game would look like. However, gamers should understand that this will not be the highly anticipated GTA VI. This will be a new Grand Theft Auto game that will at least offer up new content. It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out and to see a finished Netflix GTA product.

Information on GTA VI:

There might not be a more anticipated game than the new GTA VI. Rockstar Games usually hit home runs with their GTA’s and Red Dead Redemptions. Also, GTA V came out all the way back in 2013. Fans know that Rockstar Games has been working on GTA VI since last year, but there has not been a lot of additional information about the game released. Fans do not even have a release date to look forward to about the new game.

However, there have been a lot of leaks and rumors surrounding the upcoming game. There was news about the location of the new game possibly Vice City. Also, there was news that it would be completely modernized as well as a lot bigger according to reports.

Finally, the last bit of information that we know is that there is a good chance of a female protagonist. These leaks were all laid out in a “GTA VI What we know” article. A new GTA VI is far away, so hopefully the Netflix-produced game will come to fruition.
