NBA Players, social media explodes into frenzy after Luka Doncic-Anthony Davis blockbuster

In case you may have went to bed early last night, you may have woken up and thought you were in a fever dream. No, you’re not dreaming. Luka Doncic is now a Los Angeles Laker and Anthony Davis is now a Dallas Maverick.

Depending on when you were alive, Saturday night’s blockbuster may have been the most shocking move since Kareem Abdul-Jabbar got sent to the Lakers in 1975, which was considered one of the most shocking deals in NBA History.

There have been plenty of other shocking deals, but with respect to others, this one topped all of them. NBA players and pundits around the league reacted appropriately last night, too–they were ALL of us as soon as Shams Charania’s notification reached our phone.

The NBA never disappoints. All of the trade chatter may be annoying from time-to-time, but a deal of this caliber does not happen in any other league–especially when it’s so under-the-radar. When multiple players question whether or not Charania was hacked, that’s all you need to know.

We’re 12 hours past it and I still haven’t been able to wrap my head around it, but alas … hey, we’re five days away from the deadline! If this is any indication of what it could look like, sign me up please–even though we will almost certainly see nothing of this magnitude

But, like seriously, what in the world??!?!?!
