Great set of games tonight, but do not miss out on yesterday’s picks!

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Denver Nuggets 8 pm ET

Michael Porter Jr was ruled out for tonight’s matchup and his absence makes the Minnesota number appetizing. Minnesota has played well recently, winning six of their last nine games, and the team is finally showing future promise. Despite being eliminated from playoff contention, the Timberwolves will likely play through the end of the season to get their young talent as much run as possible, while the Porter-less Nuggets may struggle to find consistent scoring. MVP front-runner Nikola Jokic should prevent the Nuggets from losing outright, but the Timberwolves can cover if they play their best basketball.

PICK: Minnesota +4.5, though still worthwhile at +3.5.

San Antonio Spurs vs New York Knicks 7:30 pm ET

The Knicks are home and locked into the playoffs for the first time in eight years. They finished a tough road trip 2-2 but get to close out their season with a three-game homestand. On the other side, the Spurs are playing the second leg of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights. The Spurs are just 5-9 this season in the second game of a back-to-back, and the team is clinging to a two-game lead over the 11th-place Sacramento Kings for the final spot in the Play-In-Tournament, while the Knicks still have the potential to move up to fourth in the conference and secure home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs if they can win out or if the Heat or Hawks lose. Derrick Rose, Reggie Bullock, and Alec Burks are all probable, so the Knicks should have the personnel available to take care of business against an overmatched Spurs squad.

PICK: Knicks Moneyline or Knicks -5. Lean Over 216.5

Portland Trailblazers vs Phoenix Suns 10 pm ET

Portland is 9-1 in their last ten games but surprisingly, they are not favored in tonight’s game against Pheonix. Lillard and McCollum have dragged the Blazers to the fifth seed in the Western Conference and it appears the team will remain there. The Suns, meanwhile, have been on fire all season but have recently cooled down, losing three of their last four games, including blowing a late-game, double-digit lead to the Warriors. The Trailblazers have been hot and there’s no reason to fade Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, and the rest of Portland’s talent-filled roster.

PICK: Portland +3.5 is decent as is, but buy at +4.5 to be safe.
