Mike Tomlin Is Becoming The Modern Day Marvin Lewis

Mike Tomlin has lost six straight playoff games.

The last coach to do that? Marvin Lewis.

Yes, those same Bengals teams that Steelers fans made fun of for so many years.

I just have one question for the Yinzers…

When did it become okay to become the Marvin Lewis Bengals? Because right now that’s exactly what the Steelers are.

I’m old enough to remember when Kimo von Oelhoffen ruined the Bengals season and Steelers fans laughed about now. Now they are those Marvin Lewis Bengals teams and this team seems to be okay with it. I just want to know when this historic franchise became okay with being painfully above average.

The Steelers are caught in a vicious cycle. They win too many games to land a premier quarterback. They’re also stuck with a head coach who has absolutely zero feel for offense.

When people tell you who they are, believe them. Anybody who reacts like this when they make a QB change to Russell Wilson has no clue.

Imagine running your mouth like this when you beat the Jets? Imagine thinking Russell Wilson was going to lead you on some magical postseason run. Tomlin has shown you who he is. Ignorant and clueless.

Sorry, not sorry, but Pittsburgh has become the Cowboys of the AFC. Dallas won’t win anything until Jerry Jones dies and the Steelers won’t either until they fire Mike Tomlin.

No, replacing Mike Tomlin won’t be easy but sometimes you have to go backward to go forward. I’d argue this path the Steelers are on is far worse than sucking for a year or two in order to land the next franchise QB. It’s exactly what New England is doing. Hit a reset button after Bill Belichick and now they’re on a pathway to success. Why exactly shouldn’t Pittsburgh do the same?
