THIS IS INSANE! WTF have you done, Rob Manfred! The baseball streets have become total anarchy because you made a horrible mistake. The sign stealing things have gone WAY TOO FAR. Alex Cora, Jeff Luhnow, AJ Hinch, and Carlos Beltran have all lost their jobs because of this sign stealing thing. Mike Clevinger now wants to plunk batters if MLB doesn’t police sign stealing.
Are we just going to ignore this? Again, take your thoughts off of what you believe with the sign stealing for a second. Right now we have a Major League pitcher threatening to hit players on purpose. Clevinger has a 99 MPH fastball and one pitch to the wrong place can end a players career or maybe even life.
Is Baseball going to ignore this? What are we doing here? MLB has now enabled players to get so worked up over this that we have Mike Clevinger threatening to plunk guys. That could mean anything. Does he just mean he plans on plunking guys in the ass or is he head hunting? That’s career threatening.
If anybody should be suspended or lose their jobs, it’s Mike Clevinger. I can’t believe this right now. MLB cannot let Clevinger get away with him saying he’s going to start hitting guys on purpose. I don’t care what you think about the sign stealing, plunking dudes on purpose is unacceptable. Especially given the tone of this tweet which suggests he’s looking to do damage. Not just send a message. MLB has to step in here. The penalty for domestic violence and threatening to plunk guys on purpose is now less than sign stealing. What are we doing here?
