I’m currently on the phone helping my good friend with a dynasty draft. You have to think long term always, all the time when it comes to these leagues. Michael Gallup is really, really good. He’s just stuck behind Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb. For those who are set to join a start up dynasty or keeper league this year, Gallup should 100 percent be on your short list.
In 2019, Gallup put together a stat line of 1,107 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games. For the record, it’s better than any season Terry McLaurin has ever had on a per game basis but that’s a story for another day. Once Dallas drafted CeeDee Lamb, Gallup wasn’t going to put together the same type of season. Especially with Dak Prescott going down for the season.
Gallup is set to become a free agent after this upcoming season. There is just no way that Dallas can afford to keep him after paying Amari Cooper big time money. CeeDee Lamb is also a ridiculous talent that will command a mega-contract at some point. Gallup is going to get a much bigger opportunity next year where he doesn’t have to compete for targets with two other stars on the same team.
Gallup is uber talented. I don’t care what anybody says. He’s one of the crispest route runners in the league and has proven to be a steal since Dallas took him in the third round out of Colorado State.
Expect Gallup to have a good season in Dallas but really think long term here when it comes to fantasy. Gallup is an absolute stud and will become an even bigger when the opportunity increases elsewhere.
