Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons has been the President of Bleacher Reports’ Gridiron, Warner Bros Discovery announced.
“Working with Bleacher Report on The Edge has given me the desire to want to share my view of the game even more,” said Micah Parsons, President of B/R Gridiron. “Being able to create something dynamic for fans alongside a content team like B/R Gridiron, is a chance for me to flex different muscles than the ones I’m using each week on the field, plus it will just be fun.”
Parsons, who turns 25 on May 26th, is the first active athlete to hold such a position with a sports media company.
It was also announced that Parsons’ show ‘The Edge‘ will also be on B/R Gridiron, with a second season confirmed to air in August during the NFL preseason.
“As a dominant voice on and off the field, Micah is well positioned to lead B/R Gridiron,” said Tyler Price, Head of Content, Bleacher Report. We are excited to deepen his engagement with the B/R team and help grow his platform off the field in a different and unique way.”
The linebacker will have the role of generating new content for B/R Gridiron, original shows and design merchandise for the platform.
Parsons has 213 tackles, 40.5 sacks, and 7 forced fumbles in the three years he has been in the league — registering double-digit sacks in every season.
Micah Parsons and the Cowboys will have Mike Zimmer as their new defensive coordinator next season after the former Minnesota Vikings head coach stepped away from coaching for a few seasons. Zimmer will replace Dan Quinn, who went on to take the head coaching job with the Washington Commanders.
