Maxx Crosby on Raiders losing ways: ‘I’m sick of that s–t’

The Las Vegas Raiders have been trending downward for the past two seasons, and things aren’t looking up from here. The AFC West is only getting stronger, the Raiders aren’t drafting well, and, frankly, they can’t perform on the field. Well, superstar pass rusher Maxx Crosby is sick of it all.

“Every single day, I come in here, I think about winning. I don’t do this year ‘round to come in and not make the playoffs — I’m sick of that sh–t. And I want to keep winning,” Crosby said, via Raiders.com. “I want to get back in the playoffs. I want to be in Cincinnati on the road in a hostile environment — that’s why I play the game. That’s why I work the way I work. I come here and I do this all year.

“And, like I said, I want to win championships. I want to be at the top of the game,” he said. “I want to be the No. 1 guy, regardless of position. But I work for that every single day.

“So, yeah, I’m fired up for this organization. I love all the people in here. And I’m really just trying to be my best version of myself and lead by example.”

Las Vegas hasn’t made the playoffs since the 2021 season, when it finished the season with a 10-7 record. The team would go on to lose in the first round in the playoffs that same season. The Raiders haven’t made the playoffs and advanced since 2002, the year they lost in the Super Bowl.

Las Vegas and Crosby are looking to get back on track in a tough division this season with new quarterback in Jimmy Garoppolo.

Last season, Crosby and the Raiders had opposite seasons in terms of success. Crosby, who was coming off a career season, exceeded expectations in 2022. Crosby posted career-highs in sacks, assisted tackles, solo tackles and total tackles. Las Vegas, on the other hand, finished the season 6-11, missing out on the playoffs for the second straight season.

Can Crosby and the Raiders turn their playoff hopes around next season? Let us know in the comments down below.
