Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but Kyrie Irving is once again being traded. Although this time the destination is a bit more shocking as his talents are being shipped off to Dallas. Rizz god Shams himself dropped the bombshell info.
We’ve seen Mark Cuban in the past make attempts to surround Luka Doncic with some much-needed help. And in theory, this move should do just that. Now Irving has obviously had his myriad of off-the-court issues.
From refusing to take the vaccine, constantly being injured, or simply being anti-Semitic. Kyrie Irving has found a creative little list of ways to not play in NBA games.
It’s always a risk when adding Kyrie Irving to your roster. He is notorious for claiming he wants to sign an extension(like he did earlier this year with the nets.) But always ends up finding a way to ship himself out before an extension can be reached.
He has shown to be a clear distraction off the court pretty much everywhere he’s gone and seems to work his way out of every team he plays for.
But this Mavericks team is willing to take the risk. And they aren’t having to give up to much. Dinwiddie and Finney Smith aren’t bad by any means but when you have the ability to use them to bring in Kyrie I don’t think you can hesitate. I don’t know how Luka and Kyrie will work on the floor at the same time but I for one am excited to see it.
If Kyrie is actually able to play then this is a move that should greatly improve this Mavs team. Despite what you may think of the person, Kryie as a basketball talent is simply something you can’t ignore. He is still one of the better point guards in the league and is sure to add value when on the court.
