The New York Yankees are deprived of starting pitching. Domingo German was arguably their best one and he just got suspended because of a domestic violence scandal. Luis Severino has barely pitched this year. Who knows what you’re getting there. James Paxton has been underwhelming all year. Masahiro Tanaka looks good one start and horrendous the next. Old man CC Sabathia is done done. The Yankees probably could have used a guy like Marcus Stroman at the deadline. Well, not according to Brian Cashman.

Cashman said, “We were interested in Stroman but we didn’t think he would be a difference-maker. We felt he would be in our bullpen in the postseason.”

I don’t understand the motivation from Cashman to do this. This is a man that constantly puts his foot in his mouth. He’s the smartest dumb guy on the planet. Stop talking. It only harms you. The Red Sox won the World Series and used his quotes as a rallying cry. I don’t understand why the Yankees haven’t taken the mic away from him.

Cashman is such a dope. Why would you want to say anything negative about Stroman. He’s a long island guy. He’s a free agent after the 2020 season. You can forget about signing him now. Not happening. This is the kind of thing that only bites you in the ass. Subway series next year, bet the house on the game Stroman pitches for the Mets.

Mets Did Something Smart Acquiring Marcus Stroman

The starting pitching is going to be the kryptonite of the Yankees in the postseason. Countering with Marcus Stroman could have helped when that time comes to square off against Houston. Good luck against Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole, and Zack Greinke. I’m sure the Yankees didn’t need Stroman.
