Major Upset Planned For WWE Money In The Bank — Report

WWE Money in the Bank is the next premium live event for the company. It’s one of the most exciting matches currently in wrestling. With a prize as good as the Money in the Bank briefcase, there is a lot on the line. However, this year’s Money in the Bank card features plenty of wrestlers who have never won the match before. So there is plenty of room for wrestlers to make a name for themselves. But according to reports, there is a major upset planned for the event.

A Big Upset

According to Better Wrestling Experience, there is a major upset planned for the premium live event.

While the specific upset hasn’t been confirmed, it reportedly has been indicated that it won’t be involving Cody Rhodes or LA Knight. Cody Rhodes is set to take on Dominik Mysterio in another pit stop on his road to finishing the story, while LA Knight is competing in the men’s Money in the Bank match.

Who Could It Be?

So if the upset won’t be involving Rhodes or Knight, let’s go over who it could be. To me, there are only two viable options. The first one is the women’s Money in the Bank match. While IYO SKY is the favorite, I wouldn’t be surprised if Zoey Stark won. It seems like we are going to get Asuka versus IYO SKY at SummerSlam.

So while SKY may be the obvious choice to win the briefcase, I don’t think she necessarily has to in order to challenge Asuka. Plus WWE is very high on Zoey Stark, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she won the match.

But I think the upset is going to come at the Usos versus Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa–I’ve been talking about it for the last couple of weeks. Jey Uso is going to pin Roman Reigns in this match. This would mark the first time that Reigns has been pinned since December of 2019. Furthermore, I think Jey pinning Reigns is a consolation for him not taking the title off of Reigns.
