Madden 22 is REALLY pulling some cheese. Well… let’s call it uneducated cheese rather. Colin Kaepernick hasn’t taken a snap in the NFL since 2016. Madden 22 has led you to believe that Colin Kaepernick is somehow better than OVER HALF of the starting quarterbacks currently playing in the NFL.
“Colin Kaepernick has not played an NFL game since the 2016 season, but “Madden” is clearly still high on his ability.
In the recently-released “Madden 22,” which hit stores Thursday, the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback is ranked as an 81 overall. It’s a better mark than over half of the starting quarterbacks currently in the NFL.
Justin Herbert, who won the Rookie of the Year award in 2020 after a sensational 4,336-yard, 31-touchdown season, is ranked below him as an 80. Kirk Cousins is a 79. Trevor Lawrence, considered to be the best quarterback prospect in years, is a 78. Kyler Murray, an MVP candidate, is only one point ahead of him at 82.
There are only 14 quarterbacks rated higher than Kaepernick in the game. He is not on a team and can only be accessed by changing rosters.”
You want to talk about crazy? This is it right here. I’ve written multiple posts on Kaepernick. Most of which have been trying to explain that the guy really doesn’t belong in the NFL and it has nothing to do with off the field stuff. The last season Kaepernick played, he lost 10 of 11 starts, completed under 60% of his throws, and was benched for Blaine Gabbert. Sorry, that’s not an NFL quarterback.
Madden should honestly write an apology based on how terrible this is. Dude… he should be rated a 58 overall in the game and that’s being generous. I have zero sympathies for Kaepernick. Sorry, not sorry.
We want to go down that road, I’ll happily do it when it comes to Eric Reid who actually had talent. Kaepernick? Nope. Doesn’t belong in the NFL. Isn’t talented. Get it through your heads.
