Love Island: Are The Contestants Insane?

There are some really great mindless TV shows out there. Love Island is one of them. It is hilarious watching these caged brainless morons on TV. Some of them aren’t half bad-looking either. I just want to talk about this one thing. Are the people who actually sign up to do this show insane? 

Look, Trey is an insane person. I’m not going to pretend I’m not. However, the people that go on this show are a different kind of crazy. They’re the crazy and not functional type of crazy. I couldn’t imagine going on this show. Just no way. 

A: All of the contestants are basically lab rats. They all sleep together in the same room. You’re forced to sleep next to the person you couple up with. Which, based on the fact that almost none of these people actually end up together, it sounds like a damn nightmare. One person snores and it’s game over in terms of actually getting sleep. 

You’re told when to wake up. You’re told when to eat. You’re told to make some girl breakfast that you don’t even like. You have no cell phone access to the real world. You’re stuck on an island with complete strangers that you’re forced to try to be friends with. You’re even forced to babybird each other in some challenges. 

Who the actually hell wants to be part of that? 

B: All of this is so fake. Nobody actually tries to test the waters with other people. It’s married island. Once you’re in a couple you’re stuck. Then if you try to get to know someone else, you’re castrated for being a bad person despite the fact that everybody else is fake.

I would never be part of this show. That’s not to mention that you’ve basically funneled drinks every single night in hopes that you make a fool out of yourself. I can’t believe anybody goes on this show and the only reason people do is to try to get more followers on social media.

Hard pass.

Although, I do enjoy watching the others make fools of themselves. Sometimes we need a mindless show to binge and Love Island is exactly that.
