After being unclaimed through waivers the Patriots have reached a deal with LeGarrette Blount on a 2-year deal. In my previous article I discussed the New England as potential suitors, yet though they may wait until the season ended. Blount figures to have a larger role than he did with Pittsburgh after his great post season with New England last year. The move does raise some eyebrows with the recent performance of Jonas Gray who rushed for 37 carries, 201 yds. and 4 touchdowns. With Shane Vereen being more of a receiving threat Blount figures to spell Jonas Gray when he needs a breather. In the end, it’s safe to say Bill Belichick has a plan. The Patriots play Detroit Sunday sporting a record of 8-2.
