Is The Lamar Jackson Era Officially Over In Baltimore?
My pain and suffering is almost over. Has Lamar Jackson played his final game for the Baltimore Ravens? It appears that’s the most likely scenario.
Jason La Canfora is really tapped into the Baltimore area. Lamar is unlikely to play this weekend against the Bengals in the wild-card round (you can read our preview of that game here). With Lamar on the shelf, does that mean we’ve already seen the last of him in Baltimore? La Canfora suggests that is very much the case.
This isn’t the first time La Canfora suggested that Lamar was likely leaving the Ravens. He just sounds way more depressed about it this go around. Maybe the Ravens are living in the past but half of that problem is Lamar. They have built this offense to cater him. The people that don’t understand that… well… there’s no hope for them.
This season has been pretty predictable for Lamar. When the apples are ripe, he can make some plays to fool people. Along the way, he said some dumb things. Coming from a guy that scored a negative 50 on the Wonderlic, the fact that he can cross the street is probably a win in itself. No one should be surprised from his comments. As the season progressed, Jackson reverted back into what he is. A run first guy that will never be an elite thrower of the football to win anything important. As Jackson ages, the injuries will only continue to mount. The ticking time bomb is here my friends… Time to jump off the ship before you get stuck with one of the worst contracts in NFL history.
The day Lamar Jackson leaves this organization will be a top five moment in Ravens history. I’m just not sure why La Canfora is sad about it. The Ravens got the best years out of Lamar and are about to get a haul via trade. Are the Seahawks sad about the Russell Wilson trade? It’s okay, Jason. Things will get better. I’m personally looking forward to all the picks the Jets are about to send Baltimore’s way…
