Khyree Jackson 2024 NFL Draft Profile

The Oregon Ducks are sending a pair of Defensive Backs into the 2024 NFL Draft. We’ve already covered the draft profile of Evan Williams and are going to be going over the other in Khyree Jackson here. Jackson has been on Vendetta’s radar for a bit. He was noted during the stock report for Championship weekend, we also saw him have a solid Senior Bowl. What does his draft profile look like? Let’s talk about it.

Jackson, a former four-star recruit, originally committed to Alabama, where he sparingly saw the field for two seasons before transferring to Oregon last season. Something worth noting is that he was good enough for Nick Saban at Alabama. Jackson got a starting spot for the Ducks this year and had a really impressive season, ending up with 34 total tackles, seven passes defended, and three interceptions. He was also effective as a blitzer, totaling two sacks.

Khyree Jackson has a lot of potential left untapped, but what stands out first and foremost is the frame. At 6’4, 195 lbs, he’s a knuckle dragger who uses that length to be very disruptive at the point of catch. Ran well at the combine, posting 4.5 40-yard time, 1.5 split, 36.5″ vertical and 11’1″ in the broad jump. Big time athlete. Jackson is physical at the line, showing a lot of potential in press and bump-and-run coverage. Not going to get missed, that’s for sure. Pad level is consistent, backpedal is good as well.

The hips can run a bit tight at times. This along with the rest of the weaknesses is probably because of his lack of starting experience, just 14 games. Not terribly strong in zone coverage, can become too relaxed at times. Timing also seems to be a bit off at times in terms of anticipating breaks in routes, but again I think that comes from a lack of experience.

I’m in on Khyree Jackson. Oregon produced a pair of really nice Defensive Backs in the 2024 NFL Draft class, and I want both on my team by any means. I have a day-two grade on Jackson, and more specifically would take him in the top 75. I would probably reach if need be to grab him in the tail end of the second round just to make sure I got my guy. You can’t teach length, and he has it in spades. Quack.
