Justin Fields Is A Player To Covet In Fantasy Drafts

We all know Justin Fields is going to take over for Andy Dalton eventually. It’s a matter of how valuable Fields is when he actually gets his chance. There is no reason to believe anything other than that Fields will take his opportunity and run with it. Fields should be a coveted player in fantasy drafts for just that reason.

Did you see what I did there? Take the opportunity and run with it? The good fantasy players know that quarterback rushing yards have become the hidden cheat code in fantasy. The only non-athlete quarterbacks to finish in the top 10 of fantasy points for quarterbacks last year were Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. That was the end of the list. Everyone else came with an added rushing element.

Fields is going to give you that at the next level. He’s a legit 4.4 guy. Whether it be now or later, Fields is going to stack points with his legs. That makes him an automatic must have in fantasy. The only reason to not take Fields would be if you think he will eventually bust as a starter. That is not my belief. I think the dude is a straight baller.

Chicago has gotten a bad rap because Mitch Trubisky can’t play and Ryan Pace is a dope. In reality, Matt Nagy is a good play caller, Allen Robinson is a stud, and the overall roster is not void of talent. Even if it takes a few games to get going, Fields will have success.

We saw what Kyler Murray did last year. I predicted he would be a rockstar and he finished as QB2. It’s all about the legs. As a rookie, Fields offers sneaky starter potential and a must start in a two QB league. In the future, the former Ohio State product has top 5 upside at the position. Go get this man in your league.
