Jadon Sancho is one of the best young players in the world. Well, unless you ask our guy, Gavin, of course. It’s only a matter of time before Sancho moves to another team like so many before him at Borussia Dortmund. It’s just a matter of where. One potential landing spot is powerhouse and newly-crowned Premier League champions, Liverpool.
Could Sancho wind up at Liverpool? Jurgen Klopp wasn’t shy about how he feels about the young English star. In the NBA, this would be hard core tampering. In the transfer world, this is just stone cold recruiting.
“A red jersey would look very good on Jadon Sancho,” he told Bild. “But I don’t think such a transfer will take place this summer.
“He is a very interesting player. If he moved to Liverpool, I would be the most surprised of all.”
Sancho, 20, is fresh off a really great season at Borussia Dortmund. Sancho scored 17 goals and 16 assists in 25 outings. He was a key piece in Dortmund’s quest to a second place finish in the Bundesliga. Sancho is currently valued at about €130 million and is under contract through 2022. Dortmund is getting a big pay day regardless of who lands Sancho in the future.
The funniest part to me is that Klopp didn’t shy away from this at all. It’s no secret anybody would be interested in Sancho. Jurgen Klopp and every other team would love to get their hands on Jadon Sancho. As of right now, Manchester United is the other team heavily rumored for his services.
