I’m just going to come right out and say it. JT Tuimoloau is one of my favorite players in this draft class, and I encourage you to jump on the bandwagon before it’s too late. Let’s get right into it. Here is the 2025 NFL Draft profile on the Ohio State pass rusher!
NFL Draft Stock Report: Week 7, Week 10, Week 13, College Football Playoff First Round, Rose Bowl, National Championship
Tuimoloau, 21, was a five star prospect out of the state of Washington in high school. That really doesn’t do it justice though. He was a decorated basketball player as well as being the number two overall football player in the country only behind Quinn Ewers (who we covered already). The Sammamish, Washington native checks in at 6-foot-4, 264, and spent all four years with the Buckeyes.
Tuimoloau was mostly a rotational piece as a freshman. The next three years after that, Tuimoloau was a no-brainer First-team All-Big Ten selection. He was listed as a First-team All-Big Ten member in 2022, 2023, and 2024. 2024, in particular, was his best year, posting 21.5 TFLs, 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and three pass deflections. More importantly, the guy played like his hair was on fire during the college football playoff helping guide Ohio State to a title.
No Combine performance for Tuimoloau, but I couldn’t care less. In fact, I’m actually glad he didn’t workout, so the rest of the clowns sleeping on him don’t realize what they’re missing out on. Frankly, I’m not sure what there is not to get here. If you watched him beat the piss out of Olu Fashanu, that should have been more than good enough for everyone to understand the talent we’re looking at here. This wasn’t just a one-time thing either. Watch what he did against Penn State as a sophomore two years ago.
Again, I don’t get what people don’t see here. He has over 33 inch arms and is super powerful. Has a nice bull rush. Has a nice spin move. Very good at shedding blocks. Not sure his pure get off is freaky elite, but he’s definitely not slow footed. If he doesn’t become a double digit sack guy at the NFL level, I’ll be stunned.
I really don’t know how else to say it other than how I said it the other day. JT Tuimoloau is probably one of the ten best players in this draft, and he’s been criminally disrespected during this process. I don’t really understand it, but the smart GM who grabs him after the first round will basically feel like he won the lottery within a short period of time. This is one of the best rushers in the draft, and I’ve compared him to Tuli Tuipulotu, except three notches better.
