Josh Jacobs Will Win Offensive Rookie Of The Year

Josh Jacobs is the starting RB for the Oakland Raiders that plays like a veteran in the league. In my biased opinion, he’s a lock for the offensive rookie of the year. There’s no doubt in my mind that he will win. I think people often forget how he is a rookie because of how well he is playing.

Josh Jacobs stats pretty much tell the story for the soon to be rookie of the year. He has 554 yards, 4 TDs, and has rushed for 28 first downs for the Raiders. He has a per-game average of 92 yards and he averages 5.1 yards per carry, which is very impressive. This is all in 6 games that he has played. At this rate, he will have over 1,000 yards rushing and 10 TDs easily.

As a Raiders fan, I am already in love with Josh Jacobs. Josh Jacobs has Jon Gruden, offensive guru, to thank for his high workload. The offense literally runs through Jacobs and Darren Waller, best TE you’ve never heard of. Having Jacobs in the backfield helps Derek Carr tremendously. Let’s not forget to credit the Raider’s offensive line for overachieving what was expected of them. They’ve only let Carr get sacked 8 times and have opened the running game for Jacobs. As I said this is a biased opinion, BUT I wholeheartedly believe he’s going to win the award. The whole people I can think of that are even in contention for the award with Jacobs is Terry McLaurin, who’s having a good year, Kyler Murray, and DK Metcalf. Other than that, I don’t see anyone coming close to Jacobs. It’s Josh Jacobs’ award to lose and he isn’t going to. This is only the beginning of Josh Jacobs. I won’t go as far as to say he will be a star, but he is going to be a stud that people have to have a gameplan for. #RaiderNation
