Jerry Jones Hopes For A QB Controversy Between Cooper Rush & Dak Prescott
I’m not even going to lie, when I first came across this story I didn’t believe it was true. I had to read it a second time. No, this one really is true. Jerry Jones is just really trying his best to become Al Davis in the later stages of his life.
Jerry was sure at it again. He can’t help himself. He wants all the attention. ALL of it.
Jones spoke to the media today and let it be known that he is rooting for a quarterback controversy. He wants Cooper Rush to play so well that it makes the Cowboys question if they should give the job back to Dak Prescott.
“Wouldn’t it be something if you had a dilemma as to which way you go? You do that if he gets 10 wins. Same thing that happened with Prescott. I think like that,” Jones said, via Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.
The earliest possible return date for Dak Prescott is Week 4 against the Commanders. Dak isn’t on IR but probably won’t be rushed back too soon either. We are talking about surgery after all.
Cooper Rush is in line for at least one more start against the Giants this week. If Rush plays well and dominates, there are going to be fireworks in the media. I mean all-time epic toxicity on the highest of levels. With the Giants sitting 2-0 and probably very overrated, we’re setting ourselves up for that exact scenario.
