The 2024 NFL Draft is considered a strong class for offensive linemen. Where does Javion Cohen stand in the thick of it all? Let’s talk about it. Here is your Javion Cohen 2024 NFL Draft Profile!

Cohen, Phenix City, Alabama native, played for the Crimson Tide, once upon a time. Cohen was a four star rated tackle coming out of high school. He’s since been switched to guard full time (more on that later). In three years with Alabama, Cohen made 24 starts. Then he took his talents to Miami for his final collegiate season.

Cohen was recruited as a tackle but he wasn’t nearly good enough to play there for Alabama. Based on what we have seen during the predraft process, it’s safe to say he’s definitely a guard. Cohen was brutal at the Combine. He was equally brutal during the Senior Bowl. Guy lost basically every rep in the one on one drills.

I think the Combine exposed a lot of the problems with Cohen. Serious back bender and slow footed. Zero foot speed and didn’t even bother running the 40. Only jumped 26.5 on the vertical, which was one of the worst measurements at the entire event. The only thing he has going for him is the pure size. Cohen checks in at 6-foot-4, 324, with 34 inch arms.

I’m out on this player. If you want to take him in the 6th or 7th round to plug in as guard depth, be my guest. Otherwise, I want no part of this. I just think he’s limited athletically and it’s really hard to see a high ceiling here.
